Ethics Day: Call for Proposals

The Cincinnati Ethics Center is excited to announce Ethics Day, a community event focused on exploring ethical issues and promoting ethical decision-making. Scheduled for April 13, 2023, the event will consist of several main sessions and a series of breakout sessions proposed by members of the University of Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati community.

If you have an idea for an engaging breakout session that can advance skills in thinking and talking about ethical issues, we invite you to submit a proposal using this form. We are looking for proposals for speaker/lecture/panel sessions, workshops, and discussion/dialogue groups. All members of the UC and Greater Cincinnati communities are encouraged to participate. We will provide financial and organizational support for your session, if you need assistance in making the session a success for your team.

The breakout sessions may be scheduled prior to April 13, as needed, to accommodate the busy schedules of your group. They may be private events for your class, department, division, or organization, or open to the public.

We encourage proposals with a committed audience. We also encourage proposals where you know what ethics topic you would like your group to discuss, but would like assistance from The Cincinnati Ethics Center in terms of facilitating or organizing the session.

We believe Ethics Day is an opportunity for individuals and organizations in the community to explore complex ethical issues, build critical thinking skills, and engage in dialogue with one another. We hope you and your team will be a part of it!

The deadline for submission is March 10, 2023. Visit this page to learn more about Ethics Day and the breakout session proposals.
