UC Ethics Bowl Class

A course that feels like a club!

UC’s Ethics Bowl Class competes annually in the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl (IEB) and/or Intercollegiate BioEthics Bowl debate style competitions. Preparation involves discussing critical ethical, political, and social issues.

This is an excellent way to develop critical, in-demand moral reasoning skills that employers in all fields are desperately looking for, especially in new hires.

You’ll also meet students who share your interest in ethics and politics and have a lot of fun along the way!

We will meet to practice once a week for an hour and a half (likely a lunch or dinner timeframe) which increases the likelihood of finding a time that works for everyone. Meals provided by the CEC.

  • Offered every Spring and Fall.
  • 1-credit and 3-credit options.
  • Students can take the class up to six semesters.
  • Class appears as TBA on Catalyst because class time is decided upon by students after registration closes.

We want to build the team first and then find a date/time to meet.

Complete the form below even if you’re interested, but not sure you can participate.

We will send around a doodle poll before the Fall semester to find a date/time that works best for everyone.
